The Kenton Youth Wrestling team competed in a MVKWA meet at Ottawa-Glandorf on Sunday along with teams from Ada, Bluffton, Corey Rawson, Delphos, Elida and Lima Central Catholic. Kenton had 6 boys finish 1st place, 5 boys place 2nd and 9 boys place 3rd.
Ty Coomes in the 8-9 yr old 89 lb group lead the way with 3 pins on the day. Jayden Mustain also had 3 pins in the 7 yr old 52 lb group. Ronnie Boyer and Aaron Modd won their age/weight groups with 2 pins. Isaiah Mundy and Sam Taylor took 1st also with 1 pin for the meet. Ronnie Boyer, wrestling in the 5 yr 38 lb group, led the team in takedowns with 10 for the meet.
