The Kenton Youth Wrestling team competed at Lima Bath on Sunday. The meet was attended by Elida, Lima City, Wapakoneta, Bluffton and host Lima Bath. Kenton had 7 boys finish 1st place, 6 boys place 2nd and 8 boys place 3rd.
As a team, Kenton posted 16 Pins, 91 Takedowns, 39 Near Fall points, 27 Reversals and 39 Escapes. The wrestlers record on the day was 38-40.
The smallest guy on the team, Jace Broadstone, 4 yr old – 35 lb, took 2nd place and posted a team high 9 takedowns for day.
Kade Smith, 9 yr old- 58 lb, went 4-0 on the day with 1 pin and won his 5-man round robin group. Ty Coomes and Collin Dawson went undefeated and pinning their 3 opponents for 1st place. Also placing first in the meet were Dylan Searson (3-0, 1 Pin), Anthony Hunt (3-0, 1 Pin), and Karson Davis (3-0).
2nd place finishers were Isaiah Mundy (2-1, 1 Pin), Quinlon Kozman (2-1, 1 Pin), Ronald Boyer (2-1), Tim Wilkinson (2-1), and Lucas Klotz (1-1).

Miami Valley Kids Wrestling Association (MVKWA) Regional Championships are set for Sunday, February 21st at Ohio Northern University and the League Championships are being held at the EJ Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio on February 28th.
